ThatDarkRPServer Staff Guidelines and Procedures
If you are a member of our staff team, make sure you read this constantly, as it changes constantly. Any mistake made by you because you did not read this guide to see any updated rules, or punishments is on you. Failure to follow these rules and manage yourself as a competent admin will result in the removal of your rank, or worse.​

General Guidelines - Basic rules and guidelines for all levels of staff to follow

• Treat all players with respect. Staff members are held to a higher standard, and must treat everyone with respect.
• Do not fight, argue, or have heated conversations with players, especially in an Admin Sit. You are there to solve problems, not create them.
• You may not be biased towards any players, regardless or friendship, gang affiliation, etc. When administrating, all players are the same.
• You may not abuse any of your powers at all. This includes gaining an ability over other players by abusing your powers.
• Always use common sense.
• Do not use any administrative commands while off-duty
  • Exception of Kick, Ban, and noclip. (Only noclip while building)
• Always use the Console to execute Administrative commands, using chat or the menu can mess up sometimes, and it is your fault if it messes up.
• Always consult the Server Rules before ruling on an Admin Sit, they are subject to constant change.

Moderators and above may use administrative commands off-duty ONLY to handle admin sits.

*If there are no other staff online, you may handle sits off-duty
*You may only use !spectate, or /spectate while on-duty



Punishment Guidelines (Updated 3/10/19 - K)

RDM - Random Death Match - Randomly killing players for no reason

• RDM x1 - Verbal Warning with Slay. (/ooc Slayed for RDM)
• RXM x2 - Kick
• RDM x3 - 24 Hour Ban
• RDMx4 - 48 Hour Ban
• RDM x4+ - Add a day for each RDM after 4 (Mass RDM)

Note: RDM's must be consecutive, or the player must be a repeat offender in order to ban the player. (Example: Player X kills 2 other players, and is punished for it. An hour later, Player X kills 1 person, this does not count as RDMx3.)

RDA - Random Arrest - Arresting people for no RP Reason/Valid Reason.

• RDA x1 - Verbal Warning with Slay. (/ooc Slayed for RDA)
• RDA x2 - Jail for 120 Seconds
• RDA x3 - Blacklist from government jobs for 30 minutes
• RDA x4 - Banned for 1 day
• RDA x4+ - Add a day for every RDA after 4 (Mass RDA)

Note: RDA's must be consecutive, or the player must be a repeat offender in order to ban the player. (Example: Player X arrests 2 other players, and is punished for it. An hour later, Player X arrests 1 person, this does not count as RDAx3.)

Baton Rush - Arresting a player after being shot at by said player

• First Offense - Verbal Warning and Slay (/ooc Slayed for Baton Rush)
• Second Offense - Blacklist from job for 10 minutes
• Third Offense - Ban for 1 day

NLR - New Life Rule - Attempting to continue RolePlay or Kill the player from your previous life

• NLR x1 - Verbal Warning and Slay. (/ooc Slayed for NLR)
• NLR x2 - Jail for 120 seconds
• NLR x3 - Kick
• NLR x4 - 24 Hour ban

Staff and Players Disorderly Conduct - Acting hostile or dissing toward a staff member or a player.

• First Offense - Verbal Warning and Slay (/ooc Slayed for Diss)
• Second Offense - Mute for 10 minutes
• Third Offense - Kick
• Constant / Repeated - 24 Hour ban

Lying to Staff in a Sit

• First Offense - Verbal Warning and Slay (/ooc Slayed for Lying in a Sit)
• Second Offense - Kick
• Third Offense - 24 Hour ban

LTAP - Leaving to Avoid Punishment

LTAP x1 - 24 Hour ban

Abusing Admin Chat

• First Offense - Verbal Warning and Slay (/ooc Slayed for Abusing Admin Chat)
• Second Offense - Kick
• Third Offense - 24 Hour ban

Advertising - Advertising other servers, or inappropriate websites, etc

First Offense - Permanent Ban

Hacking / Exploiting / 3rd Party Programs

First Offense - Permanent Ban

Note: Among these guidelines, use your own judgement. If you have questions or concerns about a punishment, message a higher ranking staff member.
